Little Owl Jumper Finished

I finished my owl jumper that is published by Kate Davies. I knitted in Bendigo Wool. It’s so warm! Just in time for my trip to Melbourne.¬†

I’m packing a few warm things as we’ve had a cool change hit us and I’m no good with cold weather. I love it but I ache.
I’m also knitting socks again with a free pattern on raverly that I’m omitting the heart design in favour of a basic rib. Hopefully that will keep me occupied for the 7 hour train trip.

My Mantra!

Have you ever felt despair with the way the world is? Ever felt so tiny that just the small things you do don’t matter and won’t change the world?
You know your not alone?  So many people feel this way, me included. That’s why I want to share my mantra with you. The one thing that really helps me.

Be the change you want to see in the world. It’s from Gandhi. I love this. Just think if we all just did one small nice thing each day how nicer the world would be.
One of mine was a few days back when I picked up a dead cat off the road and laid it on the side of the road near a tree and used social media to help find its owners. Some others are just as simple as allowing someone out of a car space even though I don’t need the space.

Inspirational Blogs and Designers I love!!

I thought I’d share with you some of the blogs and designers that inspire my patterns.

Twinkie Chan I first saw her in Mollie Makes and thought “WOW! How quirky and creative” I bought her book and signed up to her blog. It’s full of cute crochet patterns and bright colours.

Never Not Knitting I’ve only just started listening to her pod cast and I’ve been reading her blog for about 2 years.I this summer I knitted her Sprig Cloge and I love reading about her travels and new designs.

Tiny Owl Knits I first heard of her from One Sheepish Girl. I bought their book from a local cafe and just drool over the patterns.

I know they aren’t many but I also look through pinterest and raverly.

How do you stay inspired?

Pinterest Inspired Wrap Top

I can across this pin today and I thought “damn it, I’m making that” http://pinterest.com/pin/150518812522228534/?s=3&m=wordpress

And I did

I bought the fabric from the op shop for a dollar and in the afternoon sewed it up. I add a high collar for a more unique twist and I feel pretty damn chuffed!
Have you wizzed something up in an afternoon?

My Coffee Buddy

Or dealer. I have a friend that introduced me to the best coffee maker ever! The aero press. Now this little guy looks like a syringe and a plunger had a baby. It portable and easy. Heck! We took it camping and it makes great coffee. Only problem is I don’t own a grinder yet so my friend grinds me coffee and we so have a cuppa and catch on Game of Thrones or just gossip.
He owns a espresso machine and he’s been trying his hand at coffee art. I have fun picking out the images in the foam.

Have a look at them and see if you can see a love heart and a flower cut in half. Maybe I just drink too much coffee?

So much fun!
Hubby bought me a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby and I’ve been enjoying heaps. The graphics are amazing compared to the older red and blue which I played to the end. I also love the choice of being a boy or a girl.

I hope you’ve all had a great crafty weekend!
