Cute Things That Happened

It’s raining here…. A lot of rain. So I thought I’d share some cute memories from the past few months.

Smeagol, our daughters cat and my angora rabbit Dashwood having a play.

My cat Ozmo playing on my desk late one night.

My neighbour’s puppy that broke out of their yard to visit for a play and nap.
I hope you enjoyed the cuteness! !

My Coffee Buddy

Or dealer. I have a friend that introduced me to the best coffee maker ever! The aero press. Now this little guy looks like a syringe and a plunger had a baby. It portable and easy. Heck! We took it camping and it makes great coffee. Only problem is I don’t own a grinder yet so my friend grinds me coffee and we so have a cuppa and catch on Game of Thrones or just gossip.
He owns a espresso machine and he’s been trying his hand at coffee art. I have fun picking out the images in the foam.

Have a look at them and see if you can see a love heart and a flower cut in half. Maybe I just drink too much coffee?

A Small Goal

Last year I noticed I only finished reading two books, which for me was odd. I use to always read but since I got a smart phone I’ve stopped reading at night. Instead I play games or check Facebook.
So I’ve set myself a goal to read 20 books this year. I brushed off my library card and went and borrowed The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

I’m really enjoying. I’m doing the reading challenge through Good Reads and I’m encouraging a few friends to join me.
I’ve almost finished reading The Help and I’d love some suggestions on what to read next.
What’s your favorite book? Have you been reading lately?

Ducklings

A couple of years back I got some ducks and chickens in a hope to be more self reliant. Early last year I took on a drake from a friend as she already had a drake.

I wasn’t fussed if we had hatched babies. I took the drake more because I’m a big softy on animals needing homes. Just after New Years I came back from camping I heard extra noises and I found out we had ducklings.
We got 3 little ducks and boy do the grow fast. In the 3 weeks we’ve had them they have gone from small handfuls to needling two hands while their little legs and head wiggle in an attempt to escape.

No idea what genders they are but I will most likely rehome them once we do as I’m not keen on them inbreeding with their parents.
